Weekly Update
Rooks County currently has no active cases of COVID-19 in the county.
This week the absenteeism rate is at 0.0% above the baseline from
2019-2020. The positive testing rate is at 2.2% this week.
Based on the current data, it has been determined by USD 269
administration that less restrictive safety protocols may be used.
Beginning Monday, April 12, masks are recommended, except as required
by KSHSAA, travel outside the district or if we have a positive case
at school. USD 269 will continue all other protocols, hand washing,
social distancing and cohort groups. Temperatures will no longer be
taken upon arrival to the buildings.
For as long as the county data supports this update in our learning
environment we should be able to continue without masks for the
remainder of the school year. We will continue to monitor the data and update you if any changes need to be made. We appreciate our staff, student, family
and community support throughout this past year. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact USD 269 Administration.
If you are interested in getting on the list to receive the COVID-19
vaccine, please call the health department or your primary care
physician.
